
Here is a quick sketch for another Treeland home. Enjoy!

These are two paintings of the same location but opposite angle. The sole purpose of this exercises is to work on light and color. These ones are done on a dark masonite board which is quite a different experience than painting on a white canvas. I find it helps to start with an initial dark value to compare the lights and darks. I'm not sure I like its flatness though; the canvas texture is definitely a plus. I think I'll use a canvas with a wash of mid tone next time.
